Fall Wedding Styled In Traditional Indian Fashion

Recently I had the pleasure of being invited to my dear friend Brandi’s wedding. This wedding was unique from any ceremony I had been to before. The wedding was a traditional Indian ceremony that took place at the Akbar Resturaunt in Garden City, NY. The menu, design, and ambiance of the venue were inspired by the original Akbar Restaurant which opened in Manhattan, in 1976. As a long time family owed business, Akbar stands true to its roots, and was the perfect location for such an authentic celebration. The bride and groom (Brandi and Sameer), looked elegant in their ceremony attire. Brandi wore a custom coral two-piece crystal embellished Lengha, and the groom wore a multi colored Sherwani. The ceremony was immediately followed by an abundance of music, food and dancing.  A great night was had by all! My husband and I were happy to have experienced this colorful and jovial celebration. Congrats to the new MR. & MRS.!
